27 Sep MCA shortlisted for the Campaign Ad Net Zero Awards 2024
For a second year MCA has been shortlisted for the Campaign Ad Net Zero Awards 2024 this time with our client Mars and their creative agency Revolt.
In the 2023 awards an inspiring virtual production case study of MCA’s collaboration with Reckitt resulted in 3 trophies in the categories Business Transformation and Best Practice in Sustainable Ad Production.
This year strong team collaboration between MCA, Mars and Revolt saw sustainable workflow brought into each stage of the campaign including an inspired creative strategy and carefully selected partners. By reusing assets and some additional sustainable best practices we helped the Mars maintain emissions below 2 Tonnes of CO2e for this very successful global campaign.
This was achieved by selecting more sustainable animation techniques over carbon-intensive alternatives, working with climate-conscious production companies and partners, utilising remote voice-over recordings, calculating emissions from the beginning of the process through until the end and educating everyone on sustainable ad production best practices.
Overall, a 98% reduction in emissions was reported, using the AdGreen carbon calculator to measure this approach, compared to traditional production methods. It was also one of the highest performing ads with a climate message seen by System1, achieving a four-star rating.
Campaign Ad Net Zero Awards 2024 returns to The Londoner Hotel on Thursday 21 November 2024 to celebrate the UK winners of this year’s awards. The Awards presentation and lunch will showcase and celebrate the outstanding work being delivered across the ever-evolving sustainable advertising industry.
