A global beauty giant asked us to collaborate with their APAC regional team to identify a suitable post-production partner to support the region’s extensive volume of adaptations and versioning, across 14 markets in TV, online and print
First, MCA helped the local markets clarify and classify all historic costs to create actionable baselines for 14 markets. We then identified a candidate shortlist and crafted the RFP; we supported the decision-making process, including leading several rounds of rate negotiations and quality tests. We took the lead in negotiating a comprehensive SLA; finally, we spent 18 months in APAC (and another 12 in Europe in a subsequent assignment) leading the implementation of the change management, with our APAC Head of Special Projects seconded to the client.
A single vendor was appointed to handle the entire region; client teams in all markets were then able to brief them directly via a bespoke online tool. This process has resulted in a complete re-design of their adaptation process, and significant savings from both negotiated production rates and agency retainers. Our support has allowed them to maintain the most important part of their communications, creative integrity.
