MCA were asked to manage and negotiate production costs for this global consumer goods company. The campaign had the objective to announce the launch of two new products using celebrity talent. The budgets were limited with the expectation of a top quality TVC with two major celebrities from the region.
Initially, they proposed the ad be shot in Mexico. However MCA’s consultant advised that the tax implications would be prohibitive by Brazilian law. MCA also suggested packaged costs for both brands by bundling production. We were able to offer optimization with celebrity costs and our negotiations as well as optimal audio production resulting in further savings.
We were able to provide savings in three areas for the client. With the successful cost negotiation with celebrities, 15% savings were realized on the original budget, 45% savings from original audio production quotation and the total cost of taxes by shooting in situ in Brazil. We were able to provide total overall savings from original budget of 65%.
